"Composed in 2024 and dedicated to Lara Biancalana, Duo for Violin & Cello unfolds as a fluid dialogue between two voices. At its heart are two dance-like episodes, each with a distinct character, framed by searching and suspended opening and ending counterpoints. Throughout, the instruments explore a wide palette of textures and the interplay between movement and suspension gives the piece an evolving form, where each gesture is part of an unfolding conversation."
